Aug 25 – Annual Summer Potluck with BBQ – Support Western Service Workers Association Back-to-School Drive 2019

It’s summertime – which means this month’s ‘Meeting’ is a social affair with our Annual Summer Potluck and fundraising for the Western Service Workers Association and their Back-to-School Drive. Sunday August 25, 2019 –  3:30PM check in starts – BBQ 4:00-6:00PM  Please invite your friends and potential members to attend and meet fellow Democrats and elected officials, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Please bring school supplies, hand held calculators and backpacks or a generous check for the Western Service Workers Association Back-to-School Drive. We have a long standing tradition of supporting the Western Service Workers Association and we encourage you to attend their annual fundraising dinner. The music, entertainment and speakers are always impressive. If you can’t attend please consider making a donation. May 12 – Stamp out Hunger – Western Service Workers Association needs our help!

The National Association of Letter Carriers 26th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive is on Saturday, May 12. WSWA has been chosen as one of the recipients for the donations collected by the NALC, but they need our help! The donated food needs to be moved from USPS, 401 W Lexington Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020 (map) to WSWA, 3014 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92102 (map) If you can help with transportation – cars, SUVs, trucks, vans (or horse trailers!) – or just want to help stack & sort – please contact: Brandon McDonald, Lead Organizer at (619) 238-9763 or just show up 3-6pm on Saturday May 12 in El Cajon.
