Due to fierce opposition from special interests who want to keep hiding when they pay for political ads, AB 1648 has not yet gotten through the Assembly.  However, due to the overwhelming grassroots support for it, the bill was amended to give us more time.  We have until 8/31/12 to get it passed in both the Assembly and Senate. San Diego’s role is crucial in passing AB 1648.  Signature gathering, data entry, phone calling and other tasks will help boost the California DISCLOSE Act to victory!
