Oct 29 – Climate Day of Action in San Diego

A year ago, the Northeast braced for Superstorm Sandy to make landfall, as a large hurricane combined with a higher-temperature weather front to create extremely dangerous weather. This is a tragic anniversary for millions of Americans — a reminder of the catastrophic damage climate change can do. In the 12 months since, we’ve seen more droughts, wildfires, and flooding across the country. The overwhelming judgment of science says our climate is changing. Now, it’s up to us to be prepared to meet this challenge. On Tuesday, OFA supporters in San Diego will be commemorating Superstorm Sandy’s anniversary — and the impact of climate locally — by sending a message: Climate change is real, it’s happening, and it’s urgent that we act. Will you be able to join in? Here are the details: What: Climate Day of Action in San Diego Where: Crystal Pier, PB (Garnet Street, San Diego, CA 92109) When: Tuesday, October 29th, 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm Click here to RSVP and for more info  Related articles Year After Sandy, Rebuilding for Storms and …
