Aug 7 – Book Club – “Where the Water Goes” by David Owen

The story Owen tells in Where the Water Goes is crucial to our future: how a patchwork of engineering marvels, byzantine legal agreements, aging infrastructure, and neighborly cooperation enables life to flourish in the desert —and the disastrous consequences we face when any part of this tenuous system fails.

Jun 22 – 40th Annual OB Street Fair & Chili Cook-Off

It’s June, the start of the Presidential debates (June 26 and 27). We don’t have our regular meeting at the Point Loma Assembly this month, instead we have it at the OB Street Fair! We have to start registering voters and firing up San Diegans to pay attention and get rid of this administration. We’ll engage with voters, learn their issues and understand who they want us to back in upcoming elections. Remember, the California Primary is in March and vote by mail ballots will drop in February 2020! If you want to volunteer to learn the issues, walk your precinct, get involved and contribute, come see us at the Street Fair, and bring your friends, family, pets, anyone who wants to make America smart again. Details of the Street Fair are available here. The fair runs from 10am – 8pm with lots of events for all the family.
