Oct 25 – A History of the 30 foot Height Limit in Point Loma & OB

This year’s Measure E looks to reverse 1972’s Prop D that was passed in “a tidal wave of rebellion by the people of Southern California against unbridled development of the state’s beautiful coastline.”

Learn more about the history of the 30 foot height limit and the role of Point Loma and OB residents in helping to galvanize the creation of the California Coastal Commission.

Guest Speakers include Kathy Blavatt, author of the forthcoming book San Diego’s Sunset Cliffs Park: A HistoryMandy Havlik, member of the Peninsula Planning Board, and City Councilmember Dr. Jen Campbell.
