May 12 – Stamp out Hunger – Western Service Workers Association needs our help!

The National Association of Letter Carriers 26th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive is on Saturday, May 12.

WSWA has been chosen as one of the recipients for the donations collected by the NALC, but they need our help!

The donated food needs to be moved from
USPS, 401 W Lexington Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020 (map)
to
WSWA, 3014 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92102 (map)

If you can help with transportation – cars, SUVs, trucks, vans (or horse trailers!) – or just want to help stack & sort – please contact:

Brandon McDonald, Lead Organizer at (619) 238-9763 or just show up 3-6pm on Saturday May 12 in El Cajon.

Point Loma & OB Dems has worked with the WSWA for many years. Each Summer at our Annual BBQ we collect school supplies such as backpacks, pencils and paper for their Back to School Drive. In December at our Winter Holiday Party we collect unwrapped gifts for their Toy Drive.

WSWA is an all-volunteer organization that has supported low-income service workers in San Diego County for the past 40 years.

Each recipient also volunteers in some manner to support the work of WSWA in health, housing and legal matters.

The office is located at 3014 Imperial Ave, San Diego, CA 92102. For more information, please call Brandon McDonald, Lead Organizer at (619) 238-9763.
