Making a Difference Award: This award is presented to a Democrat who has made a positive and lasting difference in San Diego County politics through his or her leadership, time, energy and talents. Club VP Mike Johnson was last year’s recipient of this award.
Leadership Award: This award is presented to a Democrat who has demonstrated sustained and significant leadership within the Democratic Party at the local, state, or national level.
Volunteer of the Year Award: This award is presented to a Democrat who demonstrates outstanding volunteerism within the party through volunteer efforts in support of SDCDP. The award recognizes the need to acknowledge volunteers who consistently and selflessly give their time and energy to further Democratic values.
Legislator of the Year Award: This award is presented to a current or recent Democratic officeholder in San Diego County who has excelled as an elected leader and in serving his or her community.
