2014 marks the 50th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. In commemoration of this historical legislation, The Catfish Club in conjunction with the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Art (SDAAMFA), will host a discussion on Civil Rights in San Diego.
Harold K. Brown, founder of the Harold K. Brown Civil Rights Collection will lead the discussion. Your attendance will also provide you an opportunity to enjoy the civil rights photo exhibition entitled “In Our Lifetime…” which was installed by the San Diego African American Museum of Fine Arts (SDAAMFA).
The guest curator is Rev. George Walker Smith, founder of the Catfish Club.
