Movie: Bahiya & Mahmoud | Jordan | 14 min
Bahiya & Mahmoud is the third film by Jordanian director Zaid Abu Hemdan. The film tells the story of an aging married couple who have fallen into a reliable routine of bickering and making one another miserable until the morning that Mahmoud wakes and finds his wife Bahiya gone. The film won the Best of Festival award in the Palm Springs International Short Festival that made it eligible for Academy
Award consideration in the short film category. The film also won the award for Outstanding Short in the Arab Film Festival in San
Francisco, participated in the official competition at Dubai International Film Festival 2010 and was part of the official selection of Doha Tribeca Film Festival.

ليكتشف أن زوجته بهية ذهبت وتركته. وقد نال الفيلم جائزة أفضل فيلم في
مهرجان بالم سبرينجس الدولي للأفلام القصيرة، مما جعله مؤهلاً للدخول ضمن
ترشيحات جوائز الأوسكار في فئة الأفلام القصيرة، كما حصل الفيلم على
جائزة التفوق للأفلام القصيرة في مهرجان السينما العربية بسان فرانسيسكو،
وكذلك القسم الرسمي لـمهرجان دبي السينمائي الدولي ٢٠١٠، والقسم الرسمي
