The March 24, 2013 meeting of the Point Loma Democratic Club had 39 members in attendance and 18 guests for a total of 57 that heard the great presentation from Dianne Lane and Pam Page.
Currently the club has 74 paid up memberships, so nearly 53 % of our members were in attendance. That is very good. Some of the larger clubs may have 200+ members with only 25 to 30 showing up at meetings. So be proud of yourselves PLDCians and keep on showing up and adding input to your club. Bring your friends and neighbors too, because it would be nice to have more members. In 2011 we had a record, 110 members.
It is not too early to think about signing up for the June 22, 2013 Ocean Beach Street Fair Booth. Make a note of the date and keep it open. Manning the booth at the Street Fair is fun and an opportunity to meet many new people and sign up more members.
You do not want to miss our next speakers, the new Superintendent for the San Diego Unified School District, Cindy Marten and school Board Member, Kevin Beiser. I hope to see you there on April 28, 2013.
