Join us on March 24, when the Wonder Women from WOSD Money Out of Politics, Point Loma’s own Pam Page and Dianne Lane, return to tell us how they convinced the San Diego City Council to pass – with an unanimous vote – WOSD MOP’s resolution to reverse ‘Citizens United’ and Amend the Constitution.
Our Club was their very first endorsement, at our April 22, 2012 meeting. Their campaign to support a constitutional amendment, which would overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision and declare that corporations are not people, and money is not free speech, is a inspiring story of how grassroots activism can be effective, and should serve as a guideline for future activists.
