Over the past few months, various pieces have come together to create a new opportunity for US leadership toward Israeli-Palestinian peace.

First came the reelection of President Obama and the success of JStreetPAC endorsed candidates in November.

Then came the nomination of Senator John Kerry – a strong proponent of US leadership toward a two-state solution – to Secretary of State.

Will Israel’s recent election be another cause for optimism on the peace front?
