Nancy had been active in the Point Loma Democratic Club for more than 50 years. She was also the senior member of the County Democratic Central Committee having served continuously since 1975. Her numerous awards and recognitions included the CountyParty’s top honor, the Henry Auerbach Award. Nancy served two terms as President of the Point Loma Democratic Club, and also as Vice Chair of the County Party.
Nancy’s devotion to our Party included attending more than 20 Democratic State Conventions. Nancy opened her home to countless Point Loma Democratic Club meetings and other Party events as well. When a Democratic candidate for office was fighting an uphill battle, or even in a hopeless race and just running to show the Democratic flag, there was one location always available for an event—Nancy’s home. Nancy Miller was survived by her husband Bob Wilberg, and by five children.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday October 23 at Sacred Heart Church, Saratoga Ave, San Diego, CA 92107.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held at the Point Loma Assembly, 3035 Talbot St, San Diego, CA 92106 on Thursday October 25 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Those wishing to speak at this event should email Laura Miller.
