Meet the Democratic Candidate for Mayor, Bob Filner – September 8th

This week’s Democratic Convention has shown some striking contrasts between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

Here in San Diego, we also have dramatically different candidates in the mayoral race: a progressive champion for the middle class versus a right-wing Republican beholden to special interests.

The San Diego Democratic Party invite you to meet our choice for Mayor, Bob Filner, this Saturday at the opening of the Democratic Unity Campaign Center.

After checking out the office and enjoying light refreshments, you’ll get to hear from Bob and some of the other great candidates who’re working hard for your vote this year.

Please join us Sept. 8 at 10:00 a.m. at 8322 Clairemont Mesa Blvd., Suite 202, in San Diego (92111). You can RSVP at www.sddemocrats.org/unity or call (858) 277-3367.

The mayoral race — as well as local campaigns for Congress, Board of Supervisors, and City Council — are close enough to come down to a small number of votes. Democratic candidates can win, but only if voters are well-informed and urged to turn out.

Thanks for supporting President Obama and our whole Democratic team.
