The Article Reminded Me of Mitt Romney

The article said, “The 2012 Porsche Cayman S Black Edition is now available for $68,450.”  Car and Driver magazine continues, “Black is perhaps most evocative of death or misfortune, but when sprayed on a car, it creates a sinister, menacing aura.” A couple of points here from this May 2011 story. First, the Porsche Cayman is named for the islands where Romney has 32 million dollars of his personal fortune stashed, free of any oversight by the Internal Revenue Service. Secondly there really is a sinister, menacing aura about a salesman candidate who has no personal political beliefs or commitments, but will say whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear. Depending on what election cycle it is, Mitt Romney is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, or more devoted to the Tea Party than Newt Gingrich. However it turns out that Romney does not actually own a Porsche Cayman. His four vehicles are a Ford Mustang, a Chevrolet pickup truck, and two Cadillacs. Does Romney’s collection of luxury vehicles and his three luxury vacation estates put him out of touch with average Americans? The voters will be deciding in November!
